one after the other and then disap-
pear, in order to test the electrical
circuit.
To switch the speedometer and
odometer/tripmeter displays be-
tween miles and kilometers, press
the “SELECT” button for at least
two seconds.
Speedometer
The speedometer shows the riding
speed.
Odometer and tripmeter modes
The odometer shows the total distance
traveled.
The tripmeters (top and bottom) show
the distance traveled since they last re-
set and the fuel reserve tripmeter
shows the distance traveled since the
fuel level warning light came on.
TIP
The odometer will lock at 999999.
The tripmeter (top) will reset after
999.9 is reached.
The tripmeter (bottom) will reset
after 999999.9 is reached.
The tripmeter (top) shows on the
display all the time, even if the trip-
meter (bottom) is not showing.
In normal operation, when the “SE-
LECT” button is pushed the tripmeter
“TRIP (top)” flashes or the display
switches between the odometer “ODO”
mode and the tripmeter “TRIP (bot-
tom)” mode in the following order:
“ODO”
“TRIP (bottom)”
“ODO”
When approximately 1.8 L (0.48 US gal,
0.40 Imp.gal) of fuel remains in the fuel
tank, the fuel level warning indicator
flashes and the odometer “ODO” or trip-
meter “TRIP (bottom)” automatically
changes to the fuel reserve tripmeter
mode “F-TRIP” and starts counting the
distance traveled from that point.
In this case, pushing the “SELECT” but-
ton flashes the tripmeter “TRIP (top)” or
switches the display between the fuel
reserve tripmeter “F-TRIP”, tripmeter
“TRIP (botttom)”, and the odometer
“ODO” in the following order:
“F-TRIP”
“TRIP (bottom)”
“ODO”
“F-TRIP”
To reset a tripmeter, push the “SE-
LECT” button to select the tripmeter
you want to reset (the selected tripme-
ter will flash). Push the “RESET” button
for one second within the five seconds
of flashing to reset that tripmeter.
If you do not reset the fuel reserve trip-
meter manually, it will reset itself auto-
matically and the display will return to
the prior mode after refueling and trav-
eling 5 km (3 mi).
TIP
The display cannot be switched back to
“F-TRIP” after the fuel reserve tripmeter
has been reset.
