REMOVING THE CLUTCH

1. Remove:

generator cover

1

Refer to “STARTER CLUTCH AND GENER-
ATOR”. (Manual No.: 5GJ1-AE1)

Loosen each bolt 1 / 4 of a turn at a time, in
stages and in a crisscross pattern.
After all of the bolts are fully loosened, remove
them.

2. Remove:

Before removal, apply

a

alignment

marks.
Align these marks during reassembly.

3. Remove:

circlip

Install the clutch spring holder

onto the clutch

assembly as shown. Then, compress the
spring, and remove the circlip

weight thrust plate

weights

springs

Before removing, check that the balance-ad-
justing hole(s)

(1 to 3 points) is positioned on

the spring stopper plate

. When the balance-

adjusting hole is positioned on the plate, install
at the same position where it was removed.
