Switching the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR switch on the
rear panel
Select the position whose requirements your speaker system
meets. Be sure to switch this only when the power of this unit is
turned off.
WARNING
Do not change the IMPEDANCE SELECTOR switch setting
while the power to this unit is on, otherwise this unit may
be damaged.
(Upper position)
Center: If you use one center speaker, the impedance of the
speaker must be 4
Ω
or higher.
If you use two center speakers, the impedance of each
speaker must be 4
Ω
or higher.
Rear:
(U.S.A. and Canada models:)
The impedance of each speaker must be 4
Ω
or higher.
(Australia, Singapore and General models:)
The impedance of each speaker must be 6
Ω
or higher.
Main:
If you use one pair of main speakers, the impedance of
each speaker must be 4
Ω
or higher.
If you use two pairs of main speakers, the impedance of
each speaker must be 8
Ω
or higher.
(Lower position)
Center: If you use one center speaker, the impedance of the
speaker must be 8
Ω
or higher.
If you use two center speakers, the impedance of each
speaker must be 4
Ω
or higher.
Rear:
The impedance of each speaker must be 8
Ω
or higher.
Main:
If you use one pair of main speakers, the impedance of
each speaker must be 8
Ω
or higher.
