It is advisable to have a Yamaha
dealer service the wheel.

Securely support the machine
so there is no danger of it falling
over.
1. Remove the adjusting nut and the
cable from the cam lever at the
front wheel hub.
2. Remove the cotter pin and axle
nut.
3. Elevate the front wheel by placing
a suitable stand under the engine.
4. Remove the wheel axle. Make
sure the machine is properly sup-
ported.

Front wheel installation
1. Lift up the wheel between the front
fork legs.
2. Install the wheel axle (make sure
the slot in the brake shoe plate fits
over the stopper on the front outer
tube) and let the machine down.
3. Push down hard on the handle-
bars several times to check for
proper fork operation.
4. Install the wheel axle nut and tight-
en to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
Wheel axle nut:
43 Nm (4.3 mákg)
