YAMAHA AV link technology enables you to
control YAMAHA AV receivers connected to the
MCX-CA15 or I/O box from your client.
AV link technology can be used to:
•
Adjust or mute the volume output level of the
connected YAMAHA AV receiver connected to
the client.
•
Switch preset groups and stations when the input
on the connected YAMAHA AV receiver is set
to TUNER.
•
Switch the input of the connected YAMAHA AV
receiver to play back songs selected from the
client.
YAMAHA AV link technology requires the use of
an IR flasher (or infrared emitter), which issues AV
link control commands to your YAMAHA AV
receiver connected to the MCX-CA15 or I/O box.
• Only YAMAHA AV receivers currently support
the AV link function.
• Zone selection is only available with some
YAMAHA AV receivers. For details, refer to the
owner’s manual for the receiver you are using.
■
AV link connections
If you want to enjoy YAMAHA AV link technology,
a YAMAHA AV receiver that supports AV link must
be connected to the AUDIO OUT jacks on the
MCX-CA15 or I/O box. Further, an IR flasher must
be connected to the IR/CTRL jack on the
MCX-CA15 or the IR OUT jack on the I/O box.
The IR flasher must be positioned so that it is in
direct line with the IR receiver of the connected
YAMAHA AV receiver you are using.
