INSTALLING THE LINK ARMS AND LOWER
BRACKET PIPES
1. Install:
• Bearing “1”, “2”
(to the front lower link arm)
2. Install:
• Rear lower link arm “3”
• Main switch bracket “4”
• Rear lower link arm bolts “5”
(temporarily tighten)
TIP
Do not fully tighten the bolts.
3. Install:
• Luggage hook “6”
• Main switch bracket bolts “7”
(temporarily tighten)
TIP
• Do not fully tighten the bolts.
• Make sure that the bottom “a” of the luggage
hook contacts the frame.
4. Install:
• Lower bracket pipes “8”
• Rear lower link arm bolts (to lower bracket
pipe) “9”
(temporarily tighten)
• Front lower link arm “10”
• Rear lower link arm bolts (to front lower link
arm) “11”
(temporarily tighten)
• Front lower link arm bolts (to lower bracket
pipe) “12”
(temporarily tighten)
• Upper link arm “13”
• Upper link arm bolts (to lower bracket pipe)
“14”
(temporarily tighten)
• Front cowling assembly bracket “15”
• Front upper link arm nut “16”
(temporarily tighten)
• Front lower link arm nut “17”
(temporarily tighten)
TIP
Do not fully tighten the bolts.
5. Tighten:
• Rear lower link arm bolts “5”
• Front upper link arm nut “16”
• Front lower link arm nut “17”
• Main switch bracket bolts “7”
• Rear lower link arm bolts (to lower bracket
pipe) “9”
• Front lower link arm bolts (to lower bracket
pipe) “12”
• Upper link arm bolts (to lower bracket pipe)
“14”
• Rear lower link arm bolts (to front lower link
arm) “11”
Install depth “a”
3.0 mm (0.12 in)
