HDMI
The volume level
cannot be increased,
or the sound is
distorted.
The component connected to the AUDIO
OUT (REC) jacks of this unit is turned off.
Turn on the power of the component.

The sound effects
cannot be recorded.
It is not possible to record the sound effects
with a recording component.
A source cannot be
recorded by a digital
recording component
connected to the
DIGITAL OUTPUT jack.
The source component is not connected to
the DIGITAL INPUT jacks of this unit.
Connect the source component to the DIGITAL
INPUT jacks.
Some components cannot record Dolby
Digital or DTS sources.
A source cannot be
recorded by an analog
component connected
to the AUDIO OUT
(REC) jacks.
The source component is not connected to
the analog AUDIO IN jacks of this unit.
Connect the source component to the analog AUDIO
IN jacks.
The sound field
parameters and some
other settings of this
unit cannot be
changed.
“MEMORY GUARD” in “SET MENU” is
set to “ON”.
Set “MEMORY GUARD” to “OFF”.
This unit does not
operate properly.
The internal microcomputer has been
frozen by an external electric shock (such
as lightning or excessive static electricity)
or by a power supply with low voltage.
Disconnect the power cable from the AC wall outlet
and then plug it in again after about 30 seconds.

No sound is heard
from the connected
HDMI component.
The HDMI component does not accept the
multi-channel audio signals.
Convert the multi-channel audio signals to the
2-channel audio signals at the source component such
as a DVD player.

“CHECK SP WIRES”
appears in the front
panel display.
Speaker cables are short-circuited.
Make sure all speaker cables are connected correctly.
There is noise
interference from
digital or radio
frequency equipment.
This unit is too close to the digital or high-
frequency equipment.
Move this unit further away from such equipment.

The picture is
disturbed.
The video source uses scrambled or
encoded signals to prevent dubbing.
This unit suddenly
enters the standby
mode.
The internal temperature is too high and the
overheat protection circuitry has been
activated.
Wait about 1 hour for this unit to cool down and then
turn it back on.
