1. Fuel sender

Remove the fuel sender from the fuel tank.

Connect the pocket tester to the fuel sender
coupler (wire harness side) as shown.

Check the wiring
connections of the
entire signaling sys-
tem.

Set the main switch to “ON”.

Measure the voltage (12 V) of brown on
the meter light coupler (wire harness side).

Is the voltage within specification?

Connect the pocket tester (DC 20 V) to the
meter light coupler (wire harness side) as
shown.

Before reading the fuel level gauge, leave
the float in one position (either up or down)
for at least three minutes.

Set the main switch to “ON”.

Move the float up or down .

Check that the fuel level gauge needle
moves to “F” or “E”.
