Power cord

POWER switch
This switches the power status of the product to
ON/STANDBY.

CONSOLE port
For use in connecting the RS-232C terminals (serial
connector) of PCs when it is necessary to perform
configurations from the console. Please refer to
“Operation Manual” (included in the attached CD-
ROM) for more details.

LAN1 ports
This port is connected to a LAN port on a PC or a
port on a hub with a LAN cable.
You can find the LINK/DATA lamp (left) and the
SPEED lamp (right) below each LAN1 port.

LINK/DATA lamp:
Off (link lost), lit up (link
established), or flashing (transferring data)
according to the individual status of the link
concerned.
•
SPEED lamp:
Off (100BASE-TX/10BASE-T) or
lit up (1000BASE-T) according to the speed of
the connection.

LAN2 port
This port is connected to a modem, router, or hub
with a LAN cable.
You can find the LINK/DATA lamp (left) and the
SPEED lamp (right) below the LAN2 port.
The lamp works just like the lamps for the LAN1
ports.

Equipment name
Provides the equipment name of the product.

Serial number
Provides the serial number used to manage and
classify the product.

MAC address
Provides the network ID numbers unique to the
equipment on the LAN1 side and LAN2 side. In
the example of “00A0DE7EBF84”, “MAC - 7EBF85”
provided in the figure above the individual MAC
addresses on the LAN1 side and LAN2 side are
as follows:
