Vapor separator

Draining the fuel

Drain:

• Fuel

▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼▼

Loosen the drain screw “1”.

Remove the cap “1”.

Push in the air valve “2”. with a screw-
driver.

Tighten the drain screw to the specified
torque, and then install the cap.

Removing the vapor separator

Cover the fuel components using a rag to pre-
vent fuel from spilling out.

Drain:

• Fuel

See “Draining the fuel” (6-18).

Disconnect:

• Quick connector
• Blowby hose
• Vapor gas hose
• High-pressure fuel pump coupler
• Cooling water hoses

Remove:

• Vapor separator assembly

Installing the vapor separator

Install:
Vapor separator assembly

Install the vapor separator assembly “1”.

• High-pressure fuel pump coupler
• Cooling water hose
• Quick connector
• Vapor gas hose
• Blowby hose

Install the high-pressure fuel pump coupler
“a”, and then connect the fuel pump cou-
pler “b”.

Drain screw

1.5 N·m (0.15 kgf·m, 1.1 lb·ft)
