the tilt ram

Hold the tilt piston in a vise using the
special service tool

on both sides.

Tighten the tilt ram

to the specified

torque.

Install the new O-ring

and backup ring

into the tilt piston

Install the balls

, absorber valve pins

, and springs

as shown.

Install the washers

, plate

, and bolt

to the tilt piston

, and then tighten

the bolt to the specified torque.

Assembling the trim rams

Install the trim piston

to the trim ram

Hold the trim ram

in a vise using alu-

minum plates

on both sides.

Tighten the trim piston bolt to the speci-
fied torque.
