Using the alignment marks on each
side of the swingarm, make sure that
both washer edges are in the same po-
sition for proper wheel alignment.
5. Tighten the locknuts, and then
tighten the axle nut to the speci-
fied torques.

The drive chain must be cleaned and
lubricated at the intervals specified in
the periodic maintenance and lubrica-
tion chart. Otherwise it will quickly
wear out, especially when riding in
dusty or wet areas. Service the drive
chain as follows.

1. Clean the drive chain with kero-
sene and a small soft brush.
2. Rinse off any remaining dirt and
then wipe the drive chain dry.
3. Thoroughly lubricate the drive
chain with clean engine oil.
4. Wait a few minutes to let the oil
soak in, and then wipe off any ex-
cess.

If kerosene or other high flash-
point solvent is not available, soap
and water may also be used.
