M I X / V CF
(M ix er/ V CF)
W hen KN O B PARAMETER G RO UP switch [MIX/ VCF] is
selected, the eig ht CO N TRO L kno bs will access specific
Mixer- and Vo ltag e Co ntro lled Filter-related parameters,
including VCO 1 and VCO 2 sig nal level, N o ise and Ring
Mo dulato r levels, VCF Type and HPF (Hig h Pass Filter),
and Key Track setting s, and depth o f frequency
mo dulatio n.
For more information about the VCF, see page 3 1 .
V CO 1 Le v e l
The VCO 1 Level setting determines the balance o f the
VCO 1 level in relatio n to the VCO 2 , Ring Mo dulato r,
N o ise, and VCA Feedback levels. Turning the kno b to
the rig ht increases the VCO 1 Level. W hen using the
VCO 2 o nly, set this value to “ 0 ” .
Settings:
0 ~ 1 2 7
V CO 2 Le v e l
The VCO 2 Level setting determines the balance o f the
VCO 2 level in relatio n to the VCO 1 , Ring Mo dulato r,
N o ise, and VCA Feedback levels. Turning the kno b to
the rig ht increases the VCO 2 Level. W hen using the
VCO 1 o nly, set this value to “ 0 ” .
Settings:
0 ~ 1 2 7
Ri ng M od
(Ring M odula tor Level)
The Ring Mo dulato r setting co ntro ls the balance o f the
Ring Mo dulato r level in relatio n to the VCO 1 , VCO 2 ,
N o ise, and VCA Feedback levels. Turning the kno b to
the rig ht increases the Ring Mo dulato r level. W hen no t
using the Ring Mo dulato r, set this value to “ 0 ” .
Settings:
0 ~ 1 2 7
The Ring Modulator combines the VCO1 and VCO2 signals and outputs the sums
and differences of all the frequency components of both inputs. It is particularly
effective for producing dissonant interval sounds with a clangorous, or metallic
effect.
N oi se Le v e l
The N o ise Level setting determines the balance o f the
N o ise sig nal in relatio n to the VCO 1 , VCO 2 , Ring
Mo dulato r, and VCA Feedback levels. Turning the kno b
to the rig ht increases the N o ise Level. W hen no t using
N o ise, set the level value to “ 0 ” .
By mixing in Noise and selecting an appropriate Filter Type ( VCF, HPF, etc.) , you
can create a wide variety of unique “ special effect” sounds.
Settings:
0 ~ 1 2 7
