The VCF Cuto ff setting determines the cuto ff frequency
o f the VCF. The value set here is related to the assig ned
VCF Type in the MIX/ VCF parameter g ro up (see pag e
6 7 ).
Fo r example, when the filter type is set to Lo w Pass
Filter, the lo wer frequencies are passed while hig her
frequencies are cut o ff. Turning the kno b to the rig ht
increases the VCF Cuto ff frequency, as sho wn in the
g raph belo w.

Re sona nce
The Reso nance setting determines the amo unt o f
reso nance bo o st, o r emphasis o f harmo nics near the
cuto ff frequency. Turning the kno b to the rig ht pro duces
a hig her reso nant peak (pro ducing sharper hig h to nes),
while turning it to the left pro duces a relatively flat
respo nse. A setting o f “ 0 ” applies no reso nance.

The Velo city Sensitivity setting determines ho w the VCF
respo nds to velo city, o r keybo ard playing streng th.
Turning the kno b to the rig ht increases dynamic rang e
acco rding to ho w hard yo u strike the keys, and turning
it to the left pro duces the o ppo site effect (i.e., a lig hter
to uch increases the dynamic rang e and a heavier to uch
decreases it). A setting o f " 0 " creates no chang e in
dynamic rang e by playing streng th.
