PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND ADJUSTMENT

3. Remove the headlight bulb cover

by pulling it off.

4. Remove the headlight bulb sock-

et by pushing it inward and turn-
ing it counterclockwise, and then
remove the burnt-out bulb.

5. Place a new bulb into position,

and then secure it with the bulb
socket.

NOTICE

If a headlight bulb of different watt-
age than recommended is used, it
may cause the battery to discharge
or affect the headlight lighting.

6. Install the panel and cowling.
7. Have a Yamaha dealer adjust the

headlight beam if necessary.

Front turn signal light bulb

1. Place the motorcycle on the cen-

terstand.

2. Remove panel A and cowling A.

(See page 7-7, 7-6.)

3. Remove the socket (together with

the bulb) by turning it counter-
clockwise.

4. Remove the burnt-out bulb by

pulling it out.

5. Insert a new bulb into the socket

by pushing it in until it stops.
