• To clean, use only mild detergents. Harsh
detergents could damage the gear box surface.
• Protect your gear box from extreme temperatures,
(heat or cold) during prolonged storage.
• Remove gear box before entering an automatic car
wash.
• Hardware such as locks should be lubricated with
graphite or other dry lubricant.
On some vehicles, hatch
interference is unavoidable.
Use caution when opening
your hatch.
If your vehicle
has a rear hatch:

you must remove it if there is
any interference.

Pull the rubber straps to disengage them
from the rod holder and lay them to the side
out of the way.

Unload your rods and any other gear.
C.
Close and lock the box.

Open the box and remove the knobs and
clamps.

With help from a friend remove the box from
your vehicle.

OPTIONAL: REPOSITION THE ROD HOLDER

Use the torx wrench
to remove the screw.

Reinstall the screw at the new location. Tighten to 3 Nm.

Press the plug into place in the open hole.

Pry out the plug
with a flat head
screwdriver.

Move the rod
holder and align
with the hole.
