Installing the “

BU-1

” in the Transceiver Body

1. Remove the four screws securing the

Front Panel and then remove the Front
Panel from the Transceiver Body.

2. Disconnect the 8-pin modular plug

from the Transceiver.

3. Remove the four HEX bolts securing

the Top case and carefully separate the
Top case from the Transceiver Body.

Note

: When you remove the top case,

you will find a small thin wire. Be care-
ful not to cut or damage this wire.

4. Carefully align the connector on the

BU-1

with the connector on the Printed

Circuit Board, and gently press the

BU-

into place.

connector

5. Replace the Top Case, the HEX bolts

and the 8-pin modular plug.

6. Attach the Front Panel to the Trans-

ceiver Body using the previously re-
moved four screws.
