SWR Meter Adjustment
Switch the external display to the “SWR Moni-
tor” screen.
Connect the DMU-2000, then set the [METER]
switch to the “SWR” position.
Connect the 50-Ohm Dummy Load and Wattme-
ter to the “ANT 1” Jack, then set the [METER]
switch to the “SWR” position.
Disconnect the 3-pin plug from J1020 on the
MAIN Unit, then apply a 4.2 V DC voltage to pin
2 of J1020, and 2.1 V DC to pin 3 of J1020.
Press and hold in the [1(1.8)], [2(3.5)], and [3(7)]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
Rotate the (VFO-A)[SELECT] knob to select the
alignment parameter “30-04 REV-CO.”
Press the PTT switch and rotate the (VFO-
B)[SELECT] knob so that the SWR meter (on the
external display) reading is “3.0.” (The SWR
meter reading may be a few points broad).
Release the PTT switch.
Rotate the (VFO-A)[SELECT] knob to select the
alignment parameter “30-03 SWR3.0.”
Rotate the [SUB(VFO-B)] knob so that the SWR
meter (on the front panel) reading is “3.0.”
Release the PTT switch.
Apply a 4.2 V DC voltage to pin 2 of J1020, and
1.4 V DC to pin 3 of J1020.
Rotate the (VFO-A)[SELECT] knob to select the
alignment parameter “30-02 SWR2.0.”
Press the PTT switch and rotate the (VFO-
B)[SELECT] knob so that the SWR meter (on the
front panel) reading is “2.0.”
Release the PTT switch.
Apply a 4.2 V DC voltage to pin 2 of J1020, and
0.84 V DC to pin 3 of J1020.
Rotate the (VFO-A)[SELECT] knob to select the
alignment parameter “30-01 SWR1.5.”
Press the PTT switch and rotate the (VFO-
B)[SELECT] knob so that the SWR meter (on the
front panel) reading is “1.5.”
Release the PTT switch.
Perform the same procedures for the Alignment
Menus “30-05 SWR1.5” and “30-12 REV-CO.”
Press and hold in the [MENU] button for 2 sec-
onds to save the new setting and exit from the
alignment mode.
