Entering a symbol character directly
You can enter a symbol character directly if the symbol that you want is not available.

Press and hold the [
F
MENU
] key → Touch [
APRS
] → [
25 MY SYMBOL
].

Turn the DIAL knob to select “ICON 4”.

F
MENU
] key
The cursor will move to the “Code” area.
Reference
If “25 MY SYMBOL (User)” does not appear after pressing the
[
F
MENU
]
key, turn the DIAL
knob to select “25 MY SYMBOL (User).

Press the [
F
MENU
] key again
The cursor will move to the Symbol Table ID (character on the left side of the code).

Turn the DIAL knob to select the Symbol Table ID

Press the [
F
MENU
] key
The cursor will move to the Symbol Code (character on the right side of “Code”).

Turn the DIAL knob to select the Symbol Code

Press the [
F
MENU
] key
The symbol will be set.

Press the PTT.
To exit the set mode and return to the operating screen.
