Set the following controls as indicated:
[ANT 1-2] button: ANT 1
[IPO] button: AMP1
[ATT] button: OFF
[µ-TUNE] button: THRU
[R.FLT] button: 6 kHz
[AGC] button: AUTO
[RF GAIN] knob: Fully clockwise
[MODE] button: CW

Connect the Digital DC voltmeter (high-Z) to
TP1035 on the MAIN Unit.
ˆ
Press and hold in the [1.8(1)], [3.5(2)], and [7(3)]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
ˆ
Rotate the Main Tuning Dial knob to select the
alignment parameter “D-05 rGc”.
ˆ
Note the Digital DC voltmeter reading (with no
receive signal).
ˆ
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob counter-clock-
wise just to the point where the Digital DC volt-
meter reading is 0.01 V less than the voltage noted
in the previous step.
ˆ
Rotate the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob clockwise just
to the point where the Digital DC voltmeter read-
ing is the same as the previously noted voltage,
then press the [ENT] key.
ˆ
Press and hold in the [MENU] button for one sec-
ond to save the new setting and exit the align-
ment mode.

Set the CW PITCH frequency to “700 Hz” via
Menu item “045 A1A PITCH”.

Connect the AF millivoltmeter and 4 Ohm
dummy load to the EXT SP jack.

Connect the RF Signal Generator to the “ANT 1”
jack, then set the output level to 36 dBµ at 1.900
MHz.
ˆ
Press and hold in the [1.8(1)], [3.5(2)], and [7(3)]
keys, while turning the radio on, to enter the
alignment mode.
ˆ
Adjust the Main [AF GAIN] knob so that the AF
millivoltmeter reading is “0 dB.”
ˆ
Refer to the chart below and select the appropri-
ate “Alignment Parameter” using the Main Tun-
ing Dial knob per the chart below, then set the
RF Signal Generator output to each frequency &
level, and adjust the [CLAR(VFO-B)] knob for the
corresponding AC millivoltmeter reading at each
frequency.
