Press
[SET] key, rotate Main DIAL to select Menu # 9,
tap
the
Main DIAL
momentarily
then rotate the DIAL to select DIM 1,
DIM 2, DIM 3, OR DIM OFF. Finally,
press
the Main DIAL
for ½ second to save the setting and exit to normal operation.
SMART SEARCH FEATURE
Set the radio to VFO mode by tapping the [V/M] key
momentarily
, if necessary.
Press
and hold the [V/M] key; this will cause the radio to scan
upwards on the current band, loading channels on which it
encounters a signal strong enough to open squelch.
When 25 channels are loaded, or when the scanner reaches the
band edge, the scanner will stop and the transceiver will revert
to the starting frequency.
To recall the Smart Search memories just stored, rotate the Main
dial or press the microphone [UP]/ [DOWN] keys (for the Main
band Smart Search memories only).
If you find particular channels, which you wish to store into
regular memory, follow memory storage steps described above.
You can activate Smart Search on the Main band by pressing
and holding Mike key P2.
You can activate Smart Search operation on the Left and Right
bands at the same time
