Measuring distances for rectangular weirs
- with and without side contraction
The distance L should be between 4 to 5 times the nomi-
nal width b.
Measuring distances for V-notch weirs
The distance L should be between 3 to 4 times the
height h of the notch.

from the head in the flume / weir.
