Chapter 3 Setup
Setup Menu Categories
You can adjust player preferences and function on player Setup menu:
Setup menu How to setup?
Press SETUP button to enter setup menu

1 Main menu:
Move cursor to highlight the submenu heading on main menu
by pressing

2 Submenu:
Press PLAY button to enter its submenu, The

button can be
used to exit submenu and return to the main menu. Press

（ up or down ） to move up or move down selection of
submenus

3 Option menu:
Select the item you want to setup and press PLAY or

button to enter the option setup menu, use
i / j
buttons
select your desired setting and press PLAY to activate it.

button to return to the submenu.

TV Display
Depending on the type of television you have, you may want to adjust the screen setting
(aspect ratio)
Normal/PS:
You can see the central portion of the Anamorphic widescreen picture on 4:3 TV. The extreme left
and right side of movie picture will be cut off.
Normal/LB :
You will see the total Anamorphic widescreen picture on 4:3 TV, but black bars will appear at the top
and bottom of the screen
Wide:
Select it if you are connecting the player to a wide screen TV set. However, DVDs recorded with 4:3 ratio
cannot be viewed as the full 16:9 picture even if you made this setup.
For example:
Angle Mark
Set it on:
When playing multi-angle DVD disc, a logo like
will be shown automatically on top right TV screen, it
mean that the DVD you are playing has two angle
and you are watching the first angle, you can change
viewing angle by pressing
ANGLE button on remote
control.
Set it off:
The player will not display the angle mark, though
you are playing multi-angle DVD disc.
Captions
Set it on:
Make sure that the DVD disc you are playing has a captions
on it, and change your TV color system to NTSC format, then
a caption maybe show on TV screen, or not, because a few
TV set can support display captions.
Set it off:
Disable the function, caption will not be shown.
Notice:
It is quite different from subtitle, subtitle is used to explain the
vocal, and captions not only explain it but also give you more
information about film. It is very useful for deaf man.
