Cabinet design
The XTZ 80 SATELLITE is a sattelite / monitor loudspeaker
designed especially for using as part in the XTZ 80 system.
It works however fine when used together with other
speakers.
The cabinet is built in strong MDF, which provides good
sonic qualities.
Tweeter
For tweeter we have choosen a silk-made soft dome driver.
This driver have good qualities, such as a fast transient
response and a very smooth frequency graph. In short: a
very priceworthy driver.
Midrange/woofer
driver
For midrange/woofer we have chosen one 5 1/4” drivers.
The driver is in coated paper and glassfibre which yields
good sonic qualities, high strength and low weight. The low
weight of the diaphragm together with the powerful magnet
yields a very high efficiency. The rubber suspensions along
with the quality damp has the benefit of providing good
sonic properties and a long life.
Crossover
We have choosen a –12 dB crossover with good transient
response and a minimum of phase shiftings along with high
quality capacitors and low impedance coils. (Read more
