Installing Tuners
The Xtrend ET8500 offers 4 plug & play tuner slots for DVB-S/S2, DVB-C and hybrid DVB-T/T2/C tuners. To protect
your Electronic from unwanted static discharges, they should be carefully handled only by the edge of the board.
Instruction
A.
Disconnect the power connection from your ET8500
B.
Turn the 2 silver turnable screws counterclockwise (Refer image in Figure 1 below)
C.
Remove the top cover by sliding backwards (Refer image in Figure 2 below)
D.
Remove screws of tuner bracket -> remove the screws by turning them counterclockwise (Refer image in
Figure 3 below)
E.
Gently remove the tuner or tuner cover from the main board if there are any installed
F.
After your desired DVB-S/-S2, DVB-C, or hybrid DVB-T2 tuner has been installed, tighten the tuner
bracket with the the screw and put the top cover on again and tighten the top cover with the silver
spinners by turning them clockwise
