step 1: installing the tRansMitteR batteRies
q
Push the transmitter antenna down into the moulded hole in the top of the
transmitter.
q
Thread the antenna (clockwise) into place and tighten it
gently
until it stops.
iMpoRtant
Do not force the antenna into place or tighten it too strongly.
Doing so could cause damage to the antenna and/or transmitter.
q
Check to make sure that the transmitter power switch is in the OFF position
(pulled back).
q
Remove the battery cover from the bottom of the transmitter by pushing the
tab, then pulling it up.
o
Install 8 'AA' Alkaline batteries into the transmitter, double-checking to make
sure that the polarity (+/-) is correct.
iMpoRtant
Pay close attention to the polarity of the batteries as shown
in the photo.
q
Reinstall the battery cover by firmly pushing the back of the battery cover down, sliding it back into the U-shaped slot, then pushing
the front down to snap it into place.
Upgrading your transmitter to use rechargeable NiCD or NiMH batteries is easy. All you need to do is purchase
8 'AA' rechargeable NiCD or NiMH batteries and a 70mAH charger that is capable of charging up to 8 cells
(9.6V). This will allow you to recharge the batteries without removing the batteries from the transmitter and it
will save you money in the long run, since you won't need to purchase Alkaline batteries when they run low.
tRansMitteR upgRade tip
waRning
Never attempt to charge Alkaline batteries.
They are not designed to be charged and will leak or even
explode.
