GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR OPERATING THE COMPRESSOR AND AIR TOOLS
•
The compressor naturally heats up after prolonged operation. Therefore, always use the
designated grip/handle to relocate the device. Never touch the device itself as there is a
risk of burns!
•
Never leave the device unattended during operation or shortly after shutdown. The
accumulated heat can be a source of danger. The compressor has thermal protection that
automatically stops the motor when the compressor temperature reaches 130 °C. The
motor starts again once it has cooled down sufficiently. The time required to cool the motor
is a safety feature to protect the motor.
•
When using the compressor and other types of air tools, always follow all safety
precautions to prevent fire, electric shock and other personal injury. The device
manufacturer is not in any way liable for personal injury or property damage caused by
failure to follow the instructions in this manual or by improper handling of the device.
•
The device is in no way intended as a toy and should be kept in a safe place, away from
children.
•
During maintenance, the device must be off and the power cable must be unplugged.
•
Never use the device near pressure or other cylinders containing hydrogen, oxygen,
carbon dioxide or other substances whose presence increases the explosion hazard.
•
Before each start, first check the device to ensure that all the major and minor components
are free from damage and working properly.
•
Ensure that the device is placed on a suitable surface and avoid the fall or unforeseen
movement of the device du to other factors.
•
Assume a comfortable and safe position to operate the device. Never use the device in
unnatural or unsafe positions, on unstable surfaces, ladders, etc.
•
Never use the device if the main switch (ON/OFF) does not operate properly. Before any
future use, have the switch replaced/repaired by an authorised service centre.
•
Ensure the device is properly maintained. Check that the moving parts work properly and
freely. Check all parts for breakage or damage that may compromise the safe operation of
the device. Before use, have all damaged parts replaced by an authorised service centre.
Many accidents result from poor maintenance.
•
Always use adequate personal protective equipment. Wearing personal protective
equipment such as a face mask, anti-slip safety footwear, helmet, goggles or hearing
protection, depending on the task at hand, reduces the risk of injury.
•
Check all couplings, connectors, hoses and power cables. All maintenance equipment,
couplings and hoses must meet the pressure and air volume values prescribed for them.
Too low pressure affects the function of the equipment; too high pressure may cause
property damage and personal injury. Protect air hoses from kinking, contact with
solvents, thinners, sharp edges, heat sources, oils, and other chemical and mechanical
damage.
