7. ASSEMBLY AND OPERATION
BEFORE START UP
CAUTION!

Before connecting the battery to the charger, check that the mains voltage corresponds to
the label value and that the power cable and plug are undamaged.

Check the working area to make sure there are no objects or persons that would interfere
with the safe operation of the equipment.

The charger may only be used to charge the appropriate Li-Ion rechargeable batteries
listed in this manual.
INSTALLING AND REMOVING THE BATTERY
To insert the battery into the charger, proceed as follows:
A) Plug the power cable to a power source (mains socket). This activates the charger and
sets it to standby mode .
B) Insert the appropriate type of Li-Ion battery, the full length of its base into the charging slot
of the charger until you hear a distinct “click” sound. The battery is now connected and the
charger switches itself into charging mode .
C) Once the battery is fully charged, grasp the charger firmly with one hand and remove the
battery from the charging slot with the other hand. This will automatically switch the charger
back to standby mode.
CAUTION!

Do not charge batteries that have been heated above the permissible temperature limit.
Before starting the charging process, wait until the battery has cooled down sufficiently.
This time may vary depending on the ambient temperature and the level of battery warm-
up.
BATTERY COMPATIBILITY
This charger is compatible with all XTLINE 18V
Li-Ion
batteries. Namely:

XT102782 / XT102782E (2.0 Ah / 18650)

XT102784 / XT102784E (4.0 Ah / 18650)

XT102786 / XT102786E (5.0 Ah / 18650)

XT102787 / XT102787E (6.0 Ah / 18650)

XT102788 (4.0 Ah / 21700)

XT102789 (8.0 Ah / 21700)


Charge Li-Ion batteries in a temperature range from 5° to 40°C. Charging at temperatures
that are too low or too high can irreversibly damage the charger or battery, possibly
increasing the risk of fire, personal injury and damage to property.
