FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and the battery cartridge is
removed before adjusting or checking function on the tool.
Installing or removing battery
CAUTION: Always switch off the tool before installing or removing of the battery
cartridge.
Hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly when installing or removing battery
cartridge. Failure to hold the tool and the battery cartridge firmly may cause them to slip
off your hands and result in damage to the tool and battery cartridge and a personal injury.
CAUTION: Always install the battery cartridge fully. If not, it may accidentally fall out of
the tool, causing injury to you or someone around you.
CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridge forcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in
easily, it is not being inserted correctly.

Adjusting depth of cut
CAUTION: Be sure the blades stopped com- pletely
before adjusting depth of cut.
Depth of cut may be adjusted by simply turning the
Cutting depth adjust knob on the front of the tool so
that the pointer points the desired depth of cut.
NOTE: The knob cannot be turned directly from 0 to
1.5 or from 1.5 to 0. Forcing the knob may damage
the tool. When changing the knob direction, always
turn the knob moving it through each intermediate
graduation.
