V. Advanced operation
Note: Before installing this product, please make sure your device is
Bluetooth
®
compatible.
Pairing the speaker with your phone
1) Make sure the speaker is off.
2) Set your Bluetooth
®
phone to “discover” the wireless speaker.
3) Place both devices not more than one meter away from each other.
4) Power on the speaker by sliding the switch to its On position. The blue LED
starts blinking accompanied by a short tone, to indicate that the device has
entered into the pairing mode and is ready to be detectable for the first time.
5) On your mobile phone, tap the newly discovered audio device (XTS-610)
displayed in the Bluetooth
®
list.
6) When the speaker asks if you want to pair with it, click Yes or OK to accept.
7) If you have a lower Bluetooth
®
version, you may be prompted to enter the
passkey 0000 (4 zeros)
8) If pairing is successful, a tone will be heard and the LED will turn solid blue.
If after 60 seconds the pairing process fails, please repeat steps 1 through 7
described above.
9) We recommend turning off the device when not in use, to conserve
battery power.
Precautions
• Do NOT drop, hit or shake the device.
• Do NOT disassemble, repair or modify the speaker yourself.
• Do NOT use cleaning products that contain benzene, solvents or alcohol.
• Do NOT expose the speaker to excessive heat or to direct sunlight for long
periods of time.
• Do NOT place heavy objects on top of the speaker.
• Do NOT use near a microwave oven or wireless LAN products.
