INSTALLING AN RM MODULE
STEP 1: Locating the Connectors
INSTALLING AN RM MODULE
STEP 2: Selecting an RM Module
INSTALLING AN RM MODULE
STEP 3: Plugging-in the RM MODULE
A Turnoff amplifier Remove amplifier cover and
locate the two RM Module receptacles
B Align the RM Module and press it onto the port
by applying downward pressure There is no
polarity that needs to be observed Be sure that
the connectors are fully seated
C Turn amp on and audition the system If further
adjustment is necessary! turn amp off
and exchange the RM Module for a higher or
lower value

g:: the RM Modules will become HOT during
normal use To avoid burns! caution should be
taken when exchanging an RM Module
A Remove the RM Module from the packaging
and inspect the circuit board
B Locate the two connectors soldered on the
bottom of the circuit board
See illustration *
C Simply align the two connectors with the two
circuit board mounted receptacles located on
the “X” Series amplifiers and plug the RM Module
into place by applying downward pressure
The RM Modules serve two purposes First they
activate the “passive speaker terminals” on the
Xtant amplifiers and! secondly! they add /! or *0
dB of attenuation to the speakers attached to
the “passive speaker terminals” Normally! the
rear fill speakers are attached to the
“passive speaker terminals” but any speakers
(ie tweeters / center channel) that you desire
to attenuate (turn down) may be attached to
these terminals The appropriate module is
dependent upon speaker efficiency and the
distance of the listener to the speakers In a
mini or standard pickup truck! where the rear
speakers are in relatively close proximity! the
higher value RM *0 may be appropriate In a
sedan or coupe! the RM / may be better suited
The modules are easily interchanged and a little
experimentation will help you determine the
best value
