Connecting Your FM Direct Adapter
IMPORTANT! To properly install the FM Direct Adapter, you may need to
disassemble your car’s instrument panel and/or connect into your car’s antenna
system. A professional installation is recommended .
The FM Direct Adapter receives power from your Xpress radio. No additional power
source is needed.
On the FM Direct Adapter :
Connect the cable labeled 1
To XM radio
to the
antenna
jack on the XM
car cradle.
Plug the car’s FM antenna lead into the jack labeled 2
FM antenna
located
on the side of the FM Direct Adapter.
An optional antenna adapter may be required to complete this step.
Refer to NOTE 1 .
Connect the cable labeled 3 To FM radio to your car’s FM antenna cable
connector or FM antenna cable lead.
An optional antenna adapter may be required to complete this step.

Plug the XM car antenna into the jack labeled 4
XM antenna
on the side of
the FM Direct Adapter.
