!IMPORTANT!
ECO ATEX luminaires are designed to provide illumination of a specific area and must only be installed by authorized, suitably trained and
qualified personnel and in compliance with the requirements of current standards.
ECO ATEX appliances must be installed away from areas subject to drafts to avoid the accumulation of electrostatic charges.
ECO ATEX luminaires can be fixed to the ceiling or wall surface using compatible accessories. It is the installer’s responsibility to check whether
the chosen support and fixing system are compatible with the application.
The electrical connection to the ECO ATEX appliance must be made on the push wire terminal block inside the casing on the push-in terminal
block following the instructions included with the appliance. The connection must be made using a single-pole or multi-pole copper cable with a
section of 1 mm2 to 2.5 mm2.
Before connecting the power line, make sure that each input is suitably equipped with an Ex certified cable gland or an Ex certified plug.
WARNING: Temporary shipping plugs are not Ex certified plugs and must be removed and replaced with suitable inputs before use.
Important information about the power adapter (ECG)
Neutral conductor interference in a three-phase system can cause overvoltage damage to the lighting system. Open the isolating terminal of the
neutral conductor only when it is disconnected from the supply and close it before restarting.
Use network cables for dimmable ECG control inputs (DALI, etc.).
Once the appliance is closed, lock the stainless steel closing clips with the screws supplied with the appliance.
The maintenance of ECO ATEX must be carried out by authorized and qualified personnel in accordance with the provisions in force.
Due to the potential electrostatic risk, ECO ATEX appliances must be periodically cleaned using only a damp cloth to avoid the formation of a
layer of dust.
Any maintenance work inside the device, with the exception of battery replacement, is not permitted and may only be carried out by the
manufacturer.
For the ET version, once connected to an active ballast, the lamp will start flashing automatically.
For the ET EB version with NiCd cells, take the following steps into account:
The emergency light battery must be charged for 24 hours before commissioning the emergency lighting system.
The integrated LED in the device indicates the load function.
If the specified emergency run time is not reached, the emergency light battery must be replaced.
The battery must be replaced at least every four years.
Use only original batteries supplied by the manufacturer.
Storage and transport of ECO ATEX devices must be carried out in the original packaging, in closed places, free from humidity and away from
any source of heat or light. It is not permitted to store appliances in an open space, even if the boxes are protected with plastic sheeting or
similar systems.
ECO ATEX appliances are designed for permanent installation.
WARNING – POTENTIAL RISK OF ELECTROSTATIC CHARGE – CLEAN ONLY WITH A WET CLOTH.
WARNING - DO NOT OPEN IN THE PRESENCE OF AN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE
WARNING - DO NOT REPLACE THE BATTERY IN THE PRESENCE OF AN EXPLOSIVE ATMOSPHERE
