1. Check to ensure that the latest software is available and compatible for installation on all

components of the 8830 Digital Documents System. Reference the Configuration Matrix

Technical Services Bulletin (TSB) for the 8830 DOS product configuration, or reference

the Bulletin Board System (BBS).

2. II the 7356 Scanner is already Installed, proceed to the next step. If the scanner Is not

installed, perform the following before proceeding:

(Figure 1): Prepare the Scanner for Installation.

Remove the long paper strip from the platen glass

paper strip

c. Check the Platen Glass and the Document Hold down for damage or dirt and clean

the parts If dirt is found.

NOTE: Use Lena and Mirror Cleaner 43P81.
