Serial Number Format
Changes to Xerox products are made to accommodate improved components as they become
available. It is important when ordering parts to include the following information:
•
Component's part number
•
Product type or model number
•
Serial Number of the printer
The serial numbers are only reset to the starting serial number when the ending serial number is
reached. At that time the revision digit will be rolled. Serial numbers below 10001 are reserved for XOG
Final Integration Center (FIC) sites if reserialization is needed.

Note:
Not all of the serial number will be used. This is a buffer in case additional units are built by
Fuji Xerox for each model of printer during pre-production.

The nine-digit serial number has the following format:

= Three digit alphanumeric product code

= Six digit numeric serial number

Serial numbers between 002701 - 003200 are reserved for XOG FIC sites if reserialization is needed. A serial
number break or a new serial number range will be provided when a major product change occurs.
