REP 4.1.1: Scanner Assembly

Some procedures require that you remove the
entire scanner from the unit.
To remove the scanner assembly:
1.
Disconnect the ground wires from the
base assembly at either side of the
scanner housing.
2.
Disconnect the scanner motor wiring harness
from connector CN5 on the main board.
3.
Disconnect the wiring harness at connector
CN3 on the main board.
4.
Remove the two screws that secure the
scanner housing to the chassis. These screws
are accessible through holes at the top of the
scanner. See Figure 4-39.

5.
Lift the scanner unit away from the chassis.
