RAP 8.0: Ni-Metal Battery

Use this RAP to test the WorkCentre’s
on-board Ni-Metal battery.

1. Remove the following:

•

Machine cover (REP 1.1).

•

Scanner assembly. (REP
4.1.9).

2. Use a voltmeter and test the output of

the battery.

Result:Battery voltage is 3.0 volts
or above?

No:

Replace the battery (REP 5.1.3:

Ni-Metal Battery on page 4-40). If
this does not solve the problem,
replace the main circuit board
(REP 5.1.2: Main Board on page
4-39).

Yes:
