Call for Assistance Tab

The Call for Assistance tab has three sub-tabs:

Description

Sub-tab

Use this sub-tab to select the type of system data and manually send
the data to Xerox. The three types of data are:

Data Submission

• Service

• Press and Service

• DFE, Press, and Service

Note

A manual submission may be required to troubleshoot a problem. If so,
Xerox Support will request that the data be sent. See

Manually Submitting

Call for Assistance Data

for more information.

Refer to this sub-tab to check when data was sent by date and tracking
number.

For Submission History, a complete record can be referenced for the type
of data sent and the date and time it was sent. A tracking number is
assigned for easy reference when working with Xerox.

Note

If more than one submission is made on a single day, the tracking number
is incremented. For example: 001, 002, 003.

Manually Submitting Call for Assistance Data

While troubleshooting issues with the CiPress

™

, such as with missing jets from a Print

Head, it is important to know how to manually submit data to Xerox for analysis.

To submit Call for Assistance Data:

1. Select the Administration View.

2. Select the Call for Assistance and Data Submission tabs.

3. Select the Press + Service Data Type and Submit.

4. Record the Tracking Number for use in correspondence with Xerox.

Meters Tab

Selecting the Meters tab allows you to view the meters and locate counts. The counter
records printing quantity in hundreds of feet of imaged web. Billing is not impacted by:

• Web that does not contain images

• The width of the web
