3. Depending on your printer connection, do one of the following:
• Select a printer from the list, and then click A Adddd ddeevviiccee.
• Click SShhoow w W Wii--FFii D Diirreecctt pprriinntteerrss, select a printer, and then click A Adddd ddeevviiccee.
• Click TThhee pprriinntteerr tthhaatt II w waanntt iissnn’’tt lliisstteedd, and then from the Add Printer window, do the following:
• Select A Adddd aa pprriinntteerr uussiinngg aa TTC CPP//IIPP aaddddrreessss oorr hhoossttnnaam mee, and then click N Neexxtt.
• In the “Hostname or IP address” field, type the printer IP address, and then click N Neexxtt.
• View the printer IP address on the printer home screen. The IP address appears as four sets of numbers
separated by periods, such as 123.123.123.123.
• If you are using a proxy server, then temporarily disable it to load the web page correctly.
• Select a print driver, and then click N Neexxtt.
• Select U Ussee tthhee pprriinntt ddrriivveerr tthhaatt iiss ccuurrrreennttllyy iinnssttaalllleedd ((rreeccoom mm meennddeedd)), and then click N Neexxtt.
• Type a printer name, and then click N Neexxtt.
• Select a printer sharing option, and then click N Neexxtt.
• Click FFiinniisshh.
For Macintosh Users
1. From a computer, open PPrriinntteerrss & & SSccaannnneerrss.
2. Click ++, and then select a printer.
3. From the Use menu, select a print driver.
To use the Macintosh print driver, select either A
AiirrPPrriinntt or SSeeccuurree A AiirrPPrriinntt.
If you want custom printing features, then select the print driver. To install the driver, refer to Installing the
Printer Software .
4. Add the printer.

To enhance printer performance and fix issues, update the printer firmware regularly.
For more information on updating the firmware, contact your customer service representative.
