GETTING TO KNOW THE X1HA-EPT AMP

The Input jack socket – (music symbol). To connect to your portable
player use a short length 3.5mm (1/8” mini) stereo jack plug cable.
Plug one end of this cable into this jack and the other end into the
headphone or line output jack of your portable player.

The Output jack socket – (headphone symbol). This is where you
plug in your high-end headphones. This socket accepts a standard
3.5mm (1/8” mini) stereo jack headphone plug. You may connect
headphone sets with impedance ranging from 16 ohm to 600 ohm.
Consult your headphone manufacturer specification chart to determine
your headphone impedance.

The Volume control - The volume control consists of a high
performance, tight tolerance dual-gang potentiometer.
Adjust the headphone volume  level to your desired listening level
by rotating the volume control knob clockwise to increase and counter
clockwise to decrease the volume level.

The Gain control switch – This is a push button switch located on the
Front panel. When it is depressed it will latch in the on position providing
a gain boost of +10dB. This function is useful for adapting the X1AH-EPT
input to different audio sources as well as adapting to different headphone
impedances.

PACKAGE CONTENTS

X1HA-EPT:
- The Xenos 1HA-EPT – Portable Headphone Amplifier
- This user guide
- World AC voltage Li-Ion battery charger

When the gain switch is in the off position the amp input is calibrated for
line level, when the gain switch is in the on position it is then calibrated
for headphone level input (like headphone jack of an MP3 player).

The Stereo Field Simulator control switch – This switch controls the
amplifier’s stereo channels. With this switch in the off position the amp
is in full stereo mode with left and right channels completely independent.
In the on position the SFS circuit is enabled.

The blue power LED – With the power turned on this LED has two
functions as follows: If the LED is on then battery level is good; If the
LED is flashing at 1 second intervals the battery level is below the
normal operating limit and the battery should be recharged.

The power switch – This is a small slide switch located on the rear
panel of the X1HA-EPT. Move this switch to the I position to switch
the amp on and to the 0 position to switch it off. NOTE: The Li-Ion
charger will continue to charge the internal Li-Ion battery irrespective
of the state of the power switch.

The DC charging jack – This jack socket is located on the rear panel
of the X1HA-EPT to the right of the battery charging symbol.
WARNING: Only use the provided Li-Ion charger to power the
X1HA-EPT amplifier. Any other AC adapter or charger may cause
irreversible damage to the Li-Ion battery pack and amplifier
electronics which will void the warranty.
