Simplest Connection Method
Does NOT support Remote Phones
Connecting your XBLUE Server to an existing network
is the easiest installation since it will not change your
current network configuration. In this configuration the
WAN Port only of the XBLUE server is used (the LAN
port is not used).

Notes:
•
*
The ISP modem and Router may
be one device - a combined unit
that does both functions.
•
Its best to use only one WIFI
Access Point in any one
environment.
•
If you’re using WIFI on your
existing router, you should disable
the WIFI on the XBLUE Server.

Telephone Line Connections
Standard Telephone Lines
(A.K.A. PSTN or Analog Lines)
The X25, X50 and X50XL servers are ready to go. The X25
has 4 analog line ports and the X50/X50XL has 6 analog line
ports. Standard telephone lines may be delivered in many
ways... if you have a standard telephone line gateway (like
the Arris unit pictured) it’ll be easy to connect your standard
lines to the XBLUE Hybrid-IP server.
If your standard lines are coming into your building in a
different way, request that your service provider terminate them
on “RJ11” connectors - which can then be plug-to-plug
connected into the server as well.
Using the Telephone Line Cables provided, just connect each
telephone line from the service provider to the XBLUE server
corresponding Line port.
VoIP Telephone Lines (CLOUD Lines)
VoIP Telephone Lines connect over the internet. No other
hardware (Port) connection is required. Call XBLUE for service
suggestions. VoIP Telephone Line subscriptions made with
XBLUE includes free product support beyond the first year.
Connecting a FAX, Cordless, or Speakerphone
Port for one analog device (TEL). Use this
analog port for connection of a FAX Machine
cordless telephone or high-end speakerphone.

1. Many network configurations are possible. See more examples on our website xblue.com
2. XBLUE Hybrid-IP Servers adhere to XBLUE’s Do It Yourself designs and are most often easy to install, however
complex routers and firewalls may require professional assistance. XBLUE will make every effort to assist you but
does not provide technical support for other manufacturer routers or firewalls.
Notes:
•
For remote phones you MUST
program a static IP Address
from your ISP on the XBLUE
server WAN port.
•
Remote phones must be
programmed with the ISP Static
IP Address.
(See the video on xblue.com
under support. “How To Setup
X25 / X50 Off Premise
Extension”.)
•
If you are NOT using remote
phones a WAN Static IP
Address is not required.
•
See the video “
Added Security
for XBLUE Hybrid-IP
Servers
”.
•
Your existing network devices
will be re-addressed to the
XBLUE Server IP Address
scheme (192.168.10.xxx).
•
LAN Static IP Address assigned
devices (printers, servers, etc.)
must be set to the XBLUE
Server IP Address scheme.
•
Available IP Addresses for LAN
Static devices are
192.168.10.151-
192.168.10.253 (All others are
reserved!)
•
Its best to use only one WIFI
Access Point in any one
environment.
NOTE: This connection technique places your server onto the
internet and therefore MUST be secured against hacker attacks.
