CAUTION

• Make sure that the air lter element is

properly seated in the air filter case.

• The engine should never be opera-

ted without the air lter element ins-

talled, otherwise the piston and/or

cylinder may become excessively

worn.

CARBURETOR

The carburetor is an important part of

the engine and its emission control sys-

tem, which requires very sophisticated

adjustment. Therefore, carburetor ad-

justments should be left to dealer, who

has the necessary professional know-

ledge and experience.

IDLING SPEED

If the idle is not correct consult a dealer

to check it.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND MINOR REPAIR

The minimum speed of the engine

(idling) must be approxemately 1800

±100 rev/min.

THROTTLE CABLE FREE PLAY

The throttle cable free play (1) should

measure 1.5 ~ 3.5 mm at the thrott-

le grip. Periodically check the throttle

cable free play and, if necessary, have

a dealer adjust it.

Throttle cable free play adjustment

1. Release the locknut (1)

2. Rotate the adjusting nut (2) to ad-

just the clearance.

Replace the air filter

1. Remove the seat

2. Remove the side cover

3. Unscrew the screws of the air filter

housing (1).

4. Pull the air filter out.

5. Replace the filter with a new one.

6. Coat the mating surfaces of the air

filter case and air filter case cover

lightly with grease for an airtight

seal.

7. Install the air filter.

8. Mount the air filter housing.

9. Mount the side cover

10. Install the seat.
