Considering the large number of different types of varnishes and polishes used for
furniture, it is possible that the device will leave visible residue on the furniture as

Cleaning and maintenance
DANGER!
Always use a soft, dry and lint-free cloth to clean the unit’s exterior. If the device is
extremely dirty you can use a soft cloth, dampened with water or a mild cleaning
solution to clean. Never use any abrasive or harsh cleaning agents (e.g. alcohol, petrol
or thinners) as these could damage the controls, casing or any markings and labels
found on the device.

Activating the doorbell
IMPORTANT NOTE:
To secure the battery from discharging a
isolation strip is added. Please remove the strip before first use as
described in „Insert battery (transmitter)“.
Insert batteries (transmitter)
The transmitter requires a 12V 23 A battery.
»
Remove the cover of the transmitter, by carefully pulling apart the notches at the
bottom of the transmitter.
»
Remove the isolation strip or old battery from the housing and put in a new battery
of the required type. Please note the correct polarity.
»
Click back the cover onto the housing until you can hear it latch.
Learning mode
Transmitter and receiver are already paired. It is not necessary to pair the devices
again.
It is possible to pair one receiver with a max. of two transmitters and one transmitter
with a max. of two receivers.
To link another transmitter, please follow these steps:
1.
Plug in the receiver (2) into an appropriate mains socket.
2.
Press the melody selection-button (B) of the receiver for about 3 seconds, until
the LED (C) of the receiver starts blinking.
3.
Press the button of the transmitter (D) you want to pair, until the LED of the
receiver stops blinking and the chosen melody chimes.
To link another receiver, please follow these steps:
1.
Plug in the receiver (2) you want to pair, into an appropriate mains socket.
2.
Press the melody selection-button (B) of the receiver for about 3 seconds, until
the LED (C) of the receiver starts blinking.
3.
Press the button of the transmitter (D) you want to pair with, until the LED of the
receiver stops blinking and the chosen melody chimes.
Installing the transmitter

Clean the surface where you intend to mount the transmitter as well as the back of
the transmitter itself.
»
Before mounting the transmitter please run a test. Put both, transmitter and
receiver where you would like to mount them and close all doors. If the receiver
does not react, please see chapter „Trouble shooting“.
»
Stick the transmitter to the wall with the double sided adhesive pad and press it for
about 30 seconds to make sure it will not fall down.
»
Important: DO NOT mount the transmitter to UPVC door frames or metal surfaces.
Volume control
Shortly press the volume button (A) at the receiver to switch through four different
volumes:
Silent | Low | Middle | High
Choose a melody
Choose from 36 melodies. Push the melody selection-button (B) until the desired
melody is played. The last played melody will be saved.
Trouble shooting
If the receiver does not work with the paired and wellplaced transmitter, please
reduce the distance between both devices. The transmitter is well-placed if the area
between both devices is free from interfering objects, such as large metal surfaces,
computers, electric engines, reinforced concrete walls or wireless networks. If
relocation does not help, remove the receiver from the socket for 15 seconds and then
plug it in again. Should the receiver still not be working, please contact our customer
service.
Disposal
Electrical- and electronic devices must never be disposed of in the regular
household waste! Consumers are legally obligated and responsible for the
proper disposal of electronic and electrical devices by returning them to
collecting sites designated for the recycling of electrical and electronic
equipment waste. For more information concerning disposal sites, please
contact your local authority or waste management company.
Do not throw batteries and rechargeable batteries into the household waste!
Customers are legally obliged to return used and rechargeable batteries,
whether they contain harmful substances* or not, designated disposal sites
or collecting sites in shops selling batteries. By doing so you are contributing to a
better and cleaner environment.
