● Infrastructure Station – to establish wireless communication with a LAN and
other wireless clients through the use of Access Points.
● Ad-Hoc – to establish point-to-point wireless communication directly with other
wireless clients equipped with a wireless network adapter.
SSID:
Service Set Identifier, which is a unique name shared among all clients and
nodes in a wireless network. The SSID must be identical for each client and node
in the wireless network.
Desired Rate:
Select the data rate for data transmission.
Click [
Apply
] for the changes to take effect.
3.3 Encryption
In the
Configuration
screen click the [
Encryption
] tab to bring up the following
page. On this page you can configure the security settings of your X-Micro WLAN
11g PCMCIA Card.
Encryption Mode:
Select
Enable
or
Disable
data encryption from the drop down
menu.
