• MedCommander is a set of utilities for the MedLAN network
based on DOS. These utilities perform command-line editing
of weld schedules, steppers and setup parameters.
Each programming option is outlined below. For more complete
information, refer to the manual provided with each
programming device.

WTC’s DEP-100S Programming Device is a data entry device.
Use it to program one, several or up to 30 weld processors on a
MedLAN network.
• When programming locally, the DEP-100S is plugged directly
into the port on the WTC control.
• When using a MedLAN network, a WTC Network Power
Pack is required to provide external power for the DEP-100S.
When communicating through a local port, the DEP-100S is still
required (to set the MedLAN address for each weld processor).
The DEP-100S is shown in Figure 13 on page 2-20. Its multi-line
display and “soft” function keys allow you to see weld data or to
program weld settings.
As described in the DEP-100S Programming Guide, the DEP-100S
displays information based on the software revision contained in
both the DEP and the weld processor. This manual explains how
to use displays that are specific to the MedWeld 3005 processor.
Refer to “Display at the DEP-100S” on page 7-3 for details on how
to use the DEP-100S stepper status and stepper profile
programming displays.

MedVIEW for Windows (and the previous version, MedLAP) are
proprietary communications programs which run under
Microsoft Windows ™. MedVIEW has two versions:
• MedVIEW lite (which provides only programming options)
and
• The full MedVIEW program, which also allows data
monitoring and acquisition.
MedLAP is functionally similar to MedVIEW.
MedVIEW lite enables programming single or multiple weld
controls from a personal computer. You can also maintain a
library of welding programs.
