RETRACT MODE: 

(LATCHED)
(UNLATCHED) 

This parameter tells the control how to react when it receives 
the RETRACT input: 

•

 UNLATCHED tells the control to let the RETRACT output 
follow the state of the RETRACT input. (When the input is on, 
the output is ON; when the input is off, the output is OFF.)

•

LATCHED tells the control to change the state of the 
RETRACT output when the input is briefly turned on and then 
off (pulsed). 

WARNING!

For safety, the MedWeld 3005 ignores any 

changes made to this parameter until you 

reset the control (by cycling power). 

CYLINDER: (AIR-NORMAL) 

(AIR-INVERTED)

This setup parameter defines what type of weld gun cylinder 
is being used. 

•

AIR-NORMAL—Select this type of cylinder when the 
machine uses an air-only cylinder, AND the RETRACT output 
is turned OFF to close the gun.

•

AIR-INVERTED—Select this type of gun cylinder when the 
machine uses an air-only cylinder, AND the RETRACT output 
is turned ON to close the gun. 

WARNING!

For safety, the MedWeld 3005 ignores any 

changes made to this parameter, until you 

reset the control (by cycling power).

HIGH POWER FACTOR LIMIT (%): 99 (10–99)
LOW POWER FACTOR LIMIT (%): 10 (10–99)

These two parameters tell the weld control the range of 
acceptable values for power factor. If the power factor 
exceeds or falls below these limits, a HIGH or LOW POWER 
FACTOR LIMIT fault is generated.
