3.5.1.3 DC Connection
Prerequisites:
If the battery has no circuit breaker or fuse, a circuit breaker or fuse
must
be
installed between the battery and the product. This must be able to securely
switch off the short-circuit current of the battery under fault conditions.
Required material:
•
4 x M8x20 mm hexagon screws
•
4 x
8.4 mm conical spring washers

Protective cover
Procedure:
1.
Remove
the protective cover (Figure 13).
2.
Check
the correct polarity.
3.
Route
the cables through the cable entry grommets.
4.
Connect
the DC (+) and DC (-) cables onto the corresponding terminals.
5.
Tighten
the screws with a torque of
22 Nm
.
NOTICE: The compression cable lug must be suitable for a M8 screw.
6.
Mount
the protective cover.
7.
Fix
the cables with cable clamps.
