Getting Started

Charging with the USB-C Port

The KG-S72C can charge the battery from the USB-C charging port on the side of 

the radio using an optional USB-C cable (not included). The battery pack can be fully 

charged with a USB cable connected to a USB to AC adapter plugged into an AC 

outlet or a to a USB port in a vehicle, power bank or computer. 
When the radio is connected to a power source through the USB-C charging port with 

a battery attached, the LED at the bottom of the port will light up red to indicate the 

battery is charging. The LED will turn green when charging is complete. 
In addition to the charging option, the radio can be powered directly via the USB-C 

port while charging the battery pack.

Antenna Information

The KG-S72C includes an antenna with an SMA female connector that is tuned for 

the frequency range of your radio. Aftermarket antennas may be used, provided they 

are tuned for this frequency range. An SMA Female to BNC adapter is included for 

connecting to mobile antennas.
