EXTENDING THE SYSTEM:
Press (and hold, depending on the version) the operating element and extend the awning until it reaches either the desired or the end position.
The end position is reached when the motor switches off.
RETRACTING THE SYSTEM:
Press (and hold, depending on the version) the operating element and retract the awning until it either reaches the desired or the end position.
The end position is reached when the motor switches off. Please refer to the documentation for control and operating units for additional notices
about special functions.
Conservatory awnings may only be operated by persons who have received instruction from specialist staff. Ensure that children do not
operate the awning unattended.
Keep remote controls out of the reach of children!
Do not touch the shading system whilst retracting or extending (risk of jamming). Do not climb on the awning and do not subject it to
stresses caused by foreign objects. No toys, objects or weights may be attached to the awning. Also, it is impermissible to install objects,
e.g. a ladder.
When working in the area surrounding the system‘s shading area, the automatic control (wind, sun, rain control) must be switched
off with a monitored, priority switching locking device (e.g. key switch), such that the shading cannot be extended when controlled
automatically.
Shading systems should be retracted at night and before leaving home.
Do not extend the shading systems in freezing, snowy or very windy conditions. The systems can be used as rain protection to a limited
extent. For this, the awning must be fully extended and the minimum incline is 14° (25%). Unsupervised use as rain protection is not
permissible, as it is not entirely possible to exclude the formation of water pockets.
Should the cloth become damp or even wet, the system must be extended to dry out as soon as is possible (risk of stains and mould
forming, plus damage to the awning fabric and the seams).
7.1 GENERAL SAFETY NOTICES FOR OPERATING SHADING SYSTEMS
7. OPERATION
When the system is being handed over, specialist staff must provide instruction on operating the electric drive. During this process, an
explanation of how the operating elements are assigned is provided.
7.2 OPERATING THE ELECTRIC DRIVE
EXTENDING THE SYSTEM:
Hook the crank handle into the gearbox eye and extend the awning by turning the crank anti-clockwise until the drop profile is resting on the
guide rail‘s end caps.
RETRACTING THE AWNING:
Turn the crank handle clockwise until the drop profile is resting on the housing and the system is closed.
Do not start the drop profile up at full speed on the guide rail‘s end caps. There is a risk of damages to the gearbox and of the cloth
overexpanding or folding.
Do not continue to forcibly turn the crank handle when it reaches the end positions. There is a risk of damages to the gearbox and of the
cloth overexpanding or folding.
