Introduction
The Woodley Equipment Clinispin HCT portable
centrifuge, is a dedicted 4 place high speed centrifuge
for haematocrit determinations.
Installation:
1.
Remove centrifuge from box and place on a sturdy level surface.
If the centrifuge appears to be damaged, please contact your
distributor immediately.
2.
Verify that there are no loose objects or packing material in the
rotor or tube chamber.
3.
Verify that the timer is in the ‘0’ position and plug in the AC/DC
adapter into an approved and properly grounded 240V AC outlet.
Do not insert specimen tubes at this time.
4.
Turn the centrifuge on. If there is a smooth whirring sound and
the unit accelerated with little or no vibration, your Clinispin Micro
centrifuge is ready to operate. If there are loud or unusual sounds,
or if you experience excessive vibration, DO NOT OPERATE.

Sample Preparation:

Ensure your EDTA sample is completely mixed immediately
before use.

Hold the capillary tube up to sample (see fig. 1).

The sample will run into the capillary tube. Fill to approximately
1 cm from the top of the tube (see fig. 2).

Holding the capillary tube towards the bottom, press it into the
tray of sealant and gently rotate it to form a plug of sealant inside
the tube (see fig. 3).

Repeat step 4 to ensure a good seal is made (see fig. 4).
